If you know us, you know we couldn’t stay away from the shopping mall Santa with a new infant at home.
Morgan has been ‘standing’ for awhile now. She puts her feet down and supports a substantial amount of her own weight on them when being held. But in the last couple of days she has started to experiment with picking her feet up and moving forward a bit. She’s still a long, long way from walking (or even standing on her own), but it is fun to watch the incremental changes.
Morgan went down last night around 7, woke up about 12:30, ate, and then slept through until 7am. Perhaps more importantly, yesterday wasn’t a particularly exhausting or unusual day. She missed a couple of night time feedings earlier, right after starting daycare, but I suspect she was just exhausted then.
We’ll see what happens tonight.
Morgan’s furthest trip from home so far was this week — 142 miles to Philadelphia.
It may have been coincidence (that is, she may not have realized it was food), but Morgan tried to reach for adult food for the first time while there. She has been eating for a couple weeks now, and greatly anticipates the spoon before it reaches her, so there is reason to suspect she knew. Whenever we ignored her for a moment, she would try to grab one of the cheesesteaks. Good girl.

Faithful readers were undoubtedly expecting feeding stories and videos, but recent illness and fussiness (more teething?) has led us to postpone solid food day. Soon, soon…
Meanwhile, here are photos from the last couple weeks.
Always changing…
Tonight we’re going to try solid foods.
